About Us

Last updated

BestPillsOnNet is an independent news desk covering prescription and over-the-counter medicines: what gets approved, what gets recalled, what trials actually showed, and what any of it costs. We publish for patients, carers, pharmacists and clinicians who want the primary facts without the press-release spin.

What we cover

Drug approvals

New molecular entities, label expansions and generic authorisations — what the indication actually says, and which population it was studied in.

Recalls & safety alerts

Batch recalls, contamination findings, new boxed warnings and safety communications — with the lot numbers and the action patients are asked to take.

Clinical trials

Readouts and publications, reported with the effect size, the comparator and the endpoint — not just the sponsor’s adjective for the result.

Pricing & access

List prices, negotiated prices, reimbursement decisions, shortages and patient-assistance changes that decide whether a medicine is actually reachable.

How a story gets published

1. Monitoring

We watch regulator newsrooms, manufacturer press rooms and medical-science feeds. Every item enters our queue with its source address, publisher and timestamp attached.

2. Drafting

A draft is written in our own words — often with AI assistance — stripped of promotional framing and structured around what happened, who it affects and what is still unknown.

3. Source check

Every claim, number and drug name is checked back against the primary document. Anything that cannot be traced to a named source is cut before publication.

4. Human review & publication

An editor approves articles in our moderation queue before they go live. We do not currently have a clinician on staff, so we do not label articles as “medically reviewed”. If that changes, reviewed articles will name the reviewer and their qualifications.

Our use of AI, stated plainly

We use AI tooling to help draft and summarise articles from public source material, and to generate illustrative images. A human editor approves articles before publication, and the note at the top of each article says whether AI drafted the wording and whether an editor checked it against the source. AI is never the authority for a medical claim: facts come from the regulator, the manufacturer or the published study, and that document is always linked. Illustrative images generated by AI are decorative and never depict real patients, products or events.

Editorial standards

  • Primary sources, always linked. Each article names its source and links the original announcement, filing or paper so you can read it yourself.
  • No treatment advice. We report on medicines; we do not tell readers what to take, start or stop. That is a conversation for you and a licensed clinician.
  • Uncertainty is reported as uncertainty. Preliminary data, press-release-only results and unpublished endpoints are labelled as such.
  • Updates are visible. Substantive changes to a published article are noted with the date and what changed.
  • No hidden commercial influence. Advertisers never see, approve or influence editorial coverage before publication.

Corrections

If something we published is wrong — a number, a name, an indication, a date — tell us and we will fix it. Write to igor.mihalych@gmail.com with the article link and what is inaccurate. We aim to respond within two business days, and material corrections are noted on the article itself.

How we are funded

The site is funded by advertising and clearly labelled sponsored placements. Ads are sold and served separately from the newsroom: sponsored units carry a visible “Advertisement” or “Sponsored Content” label, and no advertiser receives editorial coverage as part of a media buy. If you want to reach our audience, see Advertise With Us.
