This policy explains what BestPillsOnNet collects when you read the site or use its tools, why, and what you can do about it. Effective date: October 21, 2026.
1. Who is responsible
BestPillsOnNet (“we”, “us”) is operated by Igor Mihalych, a private individual based in Kazakhstan, who is the controller of the personal data described here. For any question about this policy or your data, write to igor.mihalych@gmail.com.
2. What we collect
Information you give us
If you use the contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address and message. We use them only to answer you and to keep a record of the exchange. The form is delivered to our mailbox by email; it is not stored in the website database. Please do not send health information — we do not ask for it, do not need it, and delete unsolicited medical details.
Medicine alerts ("My medicines")
If you ask for alerts about a medicine, we store your email address, the medicines you follow, and when you gave consent and confirmed. Because the medicines you follow can reveal information about your health, we process this list only on your explicit consent, given with each request, and nothing is sent until you confirm by email. We use it only to email you about recalls, shortages and news for those medicines, at most once a day; we do not share it, sell it or use it for advertising. Your IP address is used for one hour to prevent abuse of the form and is not stored with your alerts. Unconfirmed requests are deleted after 7 days. Every alert email contains a link to manage your list and to unsubscribe, which deletes your email address and list immediately; you can also request a management link on the My Medicines page. Emails are delivered by our email provider.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs: IP address, date and time, requested address, referrer and browser type. Used for security, abuse prevention and troubleshooting.
- Cookies and similar technologies: set by us for essential functions (for example, remembering a security check on a form) and, where you allow it, by third parties for advertising and measurement (see sections 4 and 5).
- Approximate location derived from your IP address, used to apply the right privacy rules and, where ads run, to serve region-appropriate advertising.
We do not build health profiles of our readers, and we do not combine the articles you read with your identity. Third-party advertising partners may infer interests from browsing; section 4 explains how to limit that.
3. Why we use it (legal bases)
| Purpose | Legal basis (GDPR) |
|---|---|
| Delivering the site and keeping it secure | Legitimate interests |
| Answering your message | Legitimate interests / steps you asked us to take |
| Sending a newsletter you subscribed to | Consent, withdrawable at any time |
| Audience measurement and analytics | Consent, where required |
| Personalised advertising | Consent |
| Non-personalised (contextual) advertising | Legitimate interests, where permitted |
| Meeting legal obligations | Legal obligation |
4. Advertising and third parties
This site is funded by advertising served by the advertising partners named in our consent banner. These partners may set cookies or read device identifiers to select ads, limit how often you see them and measure performance. They are independent controllers of the data they collect, and their own notices govern that processing. Where consent is required, advertising cookies are set only after you allow them in our consent banner, and you can change that choice at any time.
- How Google uses data on partner sites: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
- Turn off personalised Google ads: myadcenter.google.com
- Industry opt-outs: optout.aboutads.info, youronlinechoices.eu
Sponsored placements are always labelled. Clicking an ad may take you to an advertiser’s site, which has its own privacy policy.
5. Analytics
We do not currently run a third-party analytics service. If we add one, it will be named here and, where required, loaded only after you consent.
6. Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share data only with providers that run the site for us (hosting, content delivery, email delivery), with advertising and analytics partners as described above, and with authorities where the law requires it. Under California law (CCPA/CPRA), advertising cookies can count as “sharing” for cross-context behavioural advertising — section 8 explains how to opt out.
7. How long we keep it
- Contact-form messages and email correspondence: up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Newsletter subscription: until you unsubscribe; the address is then deleted within 30 days.
- Server logs: up to 90 days.
- Cookies: for the lifetime stated in each cookie, at most 13 months for advertising and analytics cookies.
- Data kept on your device by our tools: until you clear it (see section 2).
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, receive a copy of or restrict the use of your data, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, to withdraw consent, and to opt out of targeted advertising or the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. To use any of these rights, write to igor.mihalych@gmail.com. We reply within 30 days (45 days under CCPA) and will not treat you differently for asking. If you are in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your national data protection authority.
9. International transfers
Our providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where that applies to data from the EU or UK, transfers rely on an adequacy decision or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
10. Children
The site is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their data; if you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Security
The site is served over HTTPS, administrative access is limited to the accounts that need it, and software is kept up to date. No online service can promise absolute security, so we keep the personal data we hold to a minimum in the first place.
12. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, note it on the site.
